Prof. Dr. Sonja Richte, University of Bamberg, Germany
Sonja Richter is an education scientist and educator specializing in global education and education for sustainable development. Since 2011, she has worked with various universities, NGOs and governmental education programmes in Europe, Latin America and Africa. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Bamberg and uses a transdisciplinary approach to design educational processes that address global change. In the EMIC-STEAM project she provides advice based on her expertise in international educational environments and her own empirical research on learning processes.
Dr. Sarah Wunderlich, University of Koblenz, Germany
Dr Sarah Wunderlich is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Koblenz. She holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) with a specialisation in English and History, as well as a PhD on the linguistic requirements of CLIL teaching, based on her project "Pathway to CLIL – A proposed sequence of subjects in CLIL teaching based on the linguistic requirements of selected subjects". She currently teaches Language Practice, Cultural Studies, Pedagogical Approaches and CLIL.
Prof. Dr. Mónica Oliveira University of Porto, Portugal
Mónica Oliveira has been a Coordinating Lecturer at ESE Paula Frassinetti (since 1996) and a Visiting Lecturer at ESE Coimbra (since 2017). She holds a PhD from the University of Salamanca (2000) and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Porto (2015). She has been a research associate at the Institute for Research in Art, Design and Society – Centre for Art Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto, since 2020, and an international collaborator with the Research Group on Art in Education, Teacher Training and School Curricula (GPARTEDU) at the University of São Paulo since 2023. She is the author of several publications in the fields of Art Education, Illustration and Fine Arts. As an author and exhibiting artist specialising in Fine Arts and Art Education, she has won several awards, including national sculpture honours in 2012 and an international award in 2019.
Prof. Dr. Nina Brendel, University of Potsdam, Germany
As Professor of Geographical Education at the University of Potsdam, Prof. Dr Nina Brendel focuses, amongst other things, on the research-based development of game-based, action-centred learning formats (GeoBreakouts, Reflectories, VR excursions) that foster the skills required for a critical, emancipatory and transformative ESD. In participatory research projects, these are evaluated in close collaboration with school practitioners, driven by the desire to implement contemporary learning and assessment cultures in the classroom. She also designed VReiraum for the University of Potsdam, an interdisciplinary VR/AR makerspace for teacher training students with a focus on future skills.
